Online Queen of Hearts – Official Rules

Farmington, Missouri

These rules govern participation in the VFW Post 5896 Online Queen of Hearts progressive raffle. By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Game Overview

The Online Queen of Hearts is a progressive raffle conducted using a 54-card deck consisting of:

• 52 standard playing cards

• 2 Jokers

Each week, one card is selected from the remaining unrevealed cards. The jackpot increases until the Queen of Hearts is drawn.

2. Eligibility

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

• All participants must comply with applicable Missouri gaming and raffle laws.

• VFW Post 5896 reserves the right to verify eligibility prior to awarding any prize.

3. Ticket Purchase

• Tickets must be purchased through the official VFW Post 5896 online platform.

• Each ticket purchase receives a unique ticket number.

• Ticket sales close at the published cutoff time prior to each weekly drawing.

• Tickets are valid only for the drawing week selected at purchase.

4. Drawing Process

• One ticket number is randomly selected during the weekly drawing.

• The selected ticket holder will have a card drawn on their behalf from the remaining deck.

• Once a card is drawn, it is permanently removed from play.

• The drawing is conducted in a transparent and documented manner.

5. Prize Structure

Queen of Hearts:

• If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, the selected participant wins the progressive jackpot amount displayed at the time of the drawing.

• The game resets with a full 54-card deck following a Queen of Hearts win.

Jokers (2 Cards in Deck):

• If a Joker is drawn, the selected participant receives $100.

• The Joker is removed from the deck.

• The progressive jackpot continues to grow.

All Other Cards:

• If any other card is drawn, there is no payout for that week.

• The card is removed from the deck.

• The jackpot rolls over and increases for the following week.

6. Progressive Jackpot

• A predetermined percentage of weekly ticket sales is added to the jackpot.

• The current jackpot amount will be posted prior to each drawing.

• The jackpot continues to increase until the Queen of Hearts is revealed.

7. Claiming Winnings

• Winners will be notified using the contact information provided at ticket purchase.

• Valid identification is required to claim any prize.

• Prizes must be claimed within the timeframe established by VFW Post 5896.

• Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

8. Cancellation or Modification

VFW Post 5896 reserves the right to:

• Modify rules to ensure compliance with applicable laws

• Cancel or postpone a drawing due to unforeseen circumstances

• Void tickets in cases of fraud or rule violations

9. Proceeds

All net proceeds from the Online Queen of Hearts raffle directly support:

• Veteran assistance programs

• Community outreach initiatives

• Memorial and scholarship efforts

• VFW Post 5896 operations benefiting local veterans

This raffle is conducted in good faith to support veterans and the Farmington community while offering participants an opportunity to win meaningful prizes.
